AFD’s Intrapreneurship program

THE CHALLENGE

The French Development Agency (AFD) is the central actor in France’s international development policy. 2016 saw the State expand AFD’s mandate: more financial resources were entrusted to it; new sectoral and geographical fields of intervention were added. To achieve this growth objective, AFD must accelerate its ability to innovate and make its organization more agile, and in this context, it has decided to implement an innovation support system based on intrapreneurship. It aims to acculturate employees to agile and collaborative working methods while contributing to the objective of growth through the development of new activities or organizational transformation projects.

OUR SOLUTION

Design AFD’s first intrapreneurship support program.

The Intrapreneurs program consists of 3 months of incubation including:

1. Tailor-Made support to set up the projects combining entrepreneurial coaching and training
2. A network of experts dedicated to moving project forward
3. An immersion in the entrepreneurial ecosystem
4. A closing event highlighting intrapreneurs

RESULTS

1. 100% satisfaction from the intrapreneurs
2. 6 projects designed, prototyped and tested with users
3. The launch of a season 2
